Classes for kids

Monarca In Flight offers 10-week sessions for children, tweens, and teens that begin in September, January, and April. We also offer parties and private lessons. Class descriptions, schedules, and pricing can be found below.

  • Aerials for kids

    Monarca’s Circus for Kids program is a 10-week session for children to explore the world of circus. Students will learn fundamental skills in various circus disciplines like lyra, sling, and silks, among others. Circus is a safe space for kids to learn persistence and hard work while having tons of fun! Sessions are split into age/ability groups:

    Ages 7-10 years

    Ages 8-11 years

  • Aerials for teens & tweens

    Aerial for teens and tweens provides an opportunity for older kids to experience circus. This class will move at a faster pace through more challenging material than the kids’ class while still making space for kids to be kids. Mostly focused on silks and sling, students will face the physical and mental challenges of circus while having tons of fun.

    Ages 12-14 years (and 11 with permission)

  • Caretaker and me

    Circus is for every age! Come bring your young child to explore and play with musicality, different apparatuses, and other children! Both children and their caregivers should come ready to move, dance, and play (caregiver participation is required). Sessions are split into age groups:

    6 months-3 years
    Preschool & kindergarten-aged kids

  • Summer camp

    Make a plan for summer camp at Monarca! Students will experience the joy of circus, including aerial apparatuses like silks and lyra, while learning the value of hard work and cooperation. From silly to serious, we'll explore all sides of circus in this week-long exploration ending with a short performance to showcase what we've learned. For ages 8-12, camp will run 9 am-12:30 pm each day with a snack provided.

  • Caretaker and me:

    6 months - 3 years
    Cost: $40 per class

    Preschool & kindergarten-aged kids
    Cost: $50 per class

  • Aerials for kids:

    7-10 years
    8-11 years
    Cost: $475/10 week session

  • Aerials for teens and tweens:

    12-14 years
    Cost: $475/10 week session

  • Private lessons for kids
